Greetings to everyone.

Since my arrival back in Uganda, I have been very busy with administration work and visiting many churches. On Mother’s Day I water baptized 18 people in a swamp from our church in Canaan. It was a wonderful day for everyone with a big feast following the baptism.

Two weeks was taken to help our volunteer, Pepper Iverson, adjust to the culture of Uganda. After that time, we took her to New Life Children’s Center where she has remained to assist in the care of our children. She has truly been a blessing but very challenged with the language barrier.

In going out on our village feeding program, I found the people doing well. But one week later I was notified that a man that I called my Ugandan Father had died. I was saddened to hear that news. He was a very old man and lived a long life. I will miss him. Rachel, our child with AIDS is in isolation for a period of time. They have found that she has TB, which always seems to accompany the AIDS. She is very weak. We are planning a birthday party for her at the end of the month. She is excited about that. Please continue to pray for her.

Kellie Halterman from New Life Christian Center arrived on May 13th to spend a month with me. We have been doing conferences and spent some time at the children’s center, where she did some painting and work for us. We had a great time with the children as Kellie gave them gifts from America. We are having a blessed time.

More construction is also taking place at the children’s center. Three bathing rooms are being added that are badly needed. In August we will be replacing the whole roof. I give Praise and Glory to our Father for the hearts of the people at New Life Christian Center whom donated the funds to do this work.

Please continue to pray for God’s work in Uganda and around the world. We love you all.

His Servant,
Donna
